Purpose of the Role The City Life directorate delivers personalised and public services to enhance community life, including family, aged, leisure and cultural services. Our Children’s Services are recognised for their professionalism and high quality of care. We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and qualified Education and Care Service Director to join our team on a temporary full time, maternity relief position for up to 12 months. We are looking for an energetic and dedicated Director to provide innovative and quality early education and care programs in line with the National Quality Framework requirements that reflect the children and families in the service. In this role you will be responsible delivering a responsive service that is committed to inclusive practices which support families, cultural, socio-economic and individual situations. You will develop and maintain effective collaborative and respectful relationships with children, families, early childhood professionals and regulatory departments, and ensure privacy and confidentiality is maintained. You will also provide high quality care to the children and respond to their emotional needs to maintain trust, develop nurturing relationships, guide positive relationships and ensure the dignity and rights of each child are maintained. As well as support the development, planning and implementation of a quality educational program reflective of the National Learning Framework in consultation with children, families, and educators.
