About the opportunity

Blacktown City Council owns and operates a childcare business, Kids’ Early Learning, with a portfolio of 26 child care centres and over 70 family day care educators.

Kids’ Early Learning has approximately 300 full-time, part-time and casual staff and operates throughout the Blacktown local government area, serving over 1700 families and providing care and learning needs for their children.

We are seeking to fill a permanent, full-time, Senior Administration Supervisor Family Day Care position. The successful applicant will supply assistance to the administrative operations of the Family Day Care (FDC) section, ensuring section meets it obligations under approved Council policies and guidelines.

Qualifications and experience

Essential:

  • Certificate of Attainment in Business Administration, Management or a related field
  • Management training
  • Solid relevant work experience in a similar customer service management role
  • Current Class “C” driver’s licence
  • Clearance of National Police Check.

Desirable:

  • Certificate of Child Care Studies or an Associate Diploma of Social Science (Child Studies) from a College of Technical and Further Education.

Remuneration and benefits

The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.

  • A competitive salary range of $1,147.10 - $1,284.80 (Grade 6) per week will be offered based on skills, qualifications and experience
  • 35 hour working week 
  • Opportunity to participate in Council's flextime arrangement
  • Employee benefits such as leave entitlements (where applicable), 9.5% employer superannuation contribution payable to the Local Government Superannuation Scheme, Fitness Passport and gym membership discounts, and social clubs.
