About the position:

The City is seeking a Building Maintenance Officer who will be responsible for providing professional maintenance services, minor capital improvements, and installation programs to support an effective and high quality outcome for City owned building facilities whilst ensuring a high level of safety and proficiency is achieved at all times. 

Key accountabilities:

  • Conduct scheduled and ad-hoc maintenance to City owned buildings as directed by the Building Maintenance Supervisor, in a professional manner.
  • Identify and report all maintenance issues, including initial assessments and recommendations to the Building Maintenance Team for action and recording.
  • Report graffiti to the Building Maintenance Team for reporting and ensure rapid removal.
  • Conduct pre start / use inspections of plant and equipment on a daily basis and report all faults / defects to the Building Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Maintain a quarterly register of equipment in the allocated service vehicle.

Position requirements:

The successful applicant will have a trade level qualification and experience or certificate level qualification with significant experience in a similar role.

Completion of a pre-employment medical including alcohol and other substances testing is required of all positions at the City.

Remuneration and benefits:

A salary starting from $69,117 per annum or $34.9782 per hour will be offered dependent on knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications.
