Location: Emerald Department: Corporate Services Are you a strategic Procurement Manager looking for a career defining role? This newly created position is vital in delivering Council’s corporate plan and supporting our regional community. As an experienced Strategic Procurement and Contracts Manager, you will have the autonomy to develop an innovative, best practice strategic and regionally coordinated procurement function that underpins the Council’s objectives and community commitments. As a member of the leadership team, your expert advice and guidance will be heard and appreciated. To be successful, you will be motivated in not only creating the procurement policy and framework but ensuring it is embedded under your guidance. Your ability to effectively consult, present and rationalise your plan to internal and external stakeholders within our community is paramount. Working knowledge of local government legislation, regulations and procedures will be highly regarded.
