We are seeking an enthusiastic, organised and experienced creative arts officer to assist in the development and delivery of Council’s annual creative arts program. You will provide high level creative and administrative support to the Creative Arts Development team and communicate with artists, galleries, volunteers and other community arts organisations to assist in the development and implementation of Councils’ creative arts program. Along with an arts qualification or extensive experience with innovative arts programs, your demonstrated ability and experience to oversee projects and management of exhibitions and events, will be critical to your success in the role. The ability to work at heights would also be advantageous as you will be required to install and light exhibitions. This is a permanent part time role working a 9 day fortnight. Total remuneration for the role in the range $36.72 to $39.12 gross per hour consisting of: · $33.53 to $35.73 base salary, · $3.19 to $3.39 superannuation (at 9.5%) Please note that this position may require evening or weekend work in the lead-up to art events. Also the successful applicant will not be eligible to participate as an artist in exhibitions and activities run by Creative art Services.
