Our Engineering Services Group (ESG) is an in-house consultancy whose focus is to design solutions for engineering projects that benefit our ratepayers, residents and visitors - put simply when it comes to engineering ESG is a one-stop-shop!


In this role you'll be part of our responsive and supportive team assisting in the renewal of Council's 3 Waters infrastructure. Your keen interest in engineering and project management will be put to good use immediately with plenty of opportunity for on the job learning and development.


Working in the Capital Projects team, the Project Technician is responsible for assisting with the design contract management of renewal projects in the 3 Waters discipline.


The successful candidate will have (or be working towards) a New Zealand Diploma in Engineering or similar qualification, and industry experience in 3 Waters networks. Roading and Transportation experience would be an advantage but is not essential. Building strong working relationships will be a breeze with your exceptional communication skills being well utilised when dealing with contractors, the public and Council clients.
