Digital Content Library Officer – Ballarat Libraries


  • Permanent Part Time Position  

  • 30.5 hours per week, including working on a weekend roster 

  • Band 4 (Library) Salary between $56,929 to $60,964 pro rata per annum plus 9.5% Superannuation 


City of Ballarat Libraries currently has an exciting part-time opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated and customer focused person to provide library services to the community.   


You will provide high quality, efficient and friendly library and learning services that meet the educational, recreational and information needs of the diverse Ballarat community.   


This position works as part of a team to deliver customer services, library operations and learning programs and assists in the development and delivery of a wide range of online communication promotions and services. 

Key Selection Criteria  

  • Certificate III in Library and Information Services/Digital Content/ICT or equivalent post secondary qualification;  

  • Experience in a Public Library or similar environment;  

  • Demonstrated communication and customer service skills;  

  • Demonstrated knowledge of online communication formats including social media and ability to create digital content.  

  • Ability to work in a team environment;  

  • Knowledge and understanding of health and safety issues relevant to work activities and work area.
