Join us at the Invercargill City Council and use your knowledge and skills to help improve Council and the city!

You can enjoy a relaxed atmosphere and endless recreational activities that Invercargill has to offer with Central Otago, Fiordland and the Catlins on our doorstep. As New Zealand's southernmost city we proudly encourage a good work-life balance and with direct flights, Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington are also within easy reach.

With a high level of confidence, our prosperous southern city is undergoing the biggest resurgence in its 166-year history. Invercargill's reputation for being family-friendly is well deserved, with affordable housing, great schools, and amazing facilities.

We are looking for an IT professional with a proven track record, ideally working within a large organisation, to join our busy team supporting our diverse workforce across multiple sites.

This position requires a high degree of end user engagement, understanding and maintaining strict adherence to established systems, policies and procedures. Leading by example you will continuously pursue improvement opportunities of current system and processes. Operating at a senior level, you will use your business knowledge and analysis skills to determine how business requirements and outcomes can best be driven to achieve successful delivery in accordance with best practice.

You will be working with a dedicated and focused team operating within a fast paced and challenging environment, so resilience and thriving in a pressured work environment are key. This role will allow you to continue developing your skills and experience, providing the opportunity to engage your expertise across a large complex organisation.

At Invercargill City Council we pride ourselves on our values - positivity, respect, responsibility and above and beyond. Finding the right fit for our team is really important to us and we work hard to provide an environment reflective of these values.
