The Role

The Town is looking for an astute individual to drive the delivery of the Councils Economic and Tourism Strategy and its related projects, programs and initiatives. We are looking for someone who is community-focused, proactive, and results driven who has experience working in a complex organisation and can deliver on major strategic priorities.

Candidates require degree qualifications in economics, business, law, tourism, or a related field. Our ideal candidate is community focused with the ability to foster and create effective partnerships with government and business as well as collaborating with and assisting other directorates in the organisation to promote investment and business activity that is sustainable and which meets defined corporate objectives and maximises benefits for the broader community.

Work Related Requirements

The preferred applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment to be considered for the role, as well as possess:

  • Degree qualification economics, business, law, tourism, or a related field
  • Proven project management experience
  • Highly development communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship building skills with both internal and external stakeholders
  • National Police Clearance
  • Current ‘C’ class drivers licence
