We are looking for confident, skilled lifeguards to join our team and help us deliver a safe, fun and exciting first summer at the newly developed Wangaratta Sports & Aquatic Centre. Our lifeguards are fundamental to the safety and enjoyment of all our customers, and we are looking for the right people who have customer service, water education, conflict resolution and excellent pool supervision skills.
Proudly a SwimSafe and Watch Around Water facility – you will be our front line in keeping our community safe this summer. You will be available for a variety of shifts across all opening hours. With 6 water spaces, no shift is the same providing great variety in one facility.
Key Selection Criteria
- Sound technical knowledge in all aspects of Lifeguarding
- Strong swimming and rescue skills including knowledge of water safety, first aid, resuscitation, rescue techniques and public safety requirements
- Ability to handle difficult situations, including emergencies calmly and decisively
- Ability to work as a team with others to manage large numbers of diverse patrons on pool deck, while maintaining preventative supervision at all times

The hourly range of $23.24-$25.99 part time and $29.05 – $32.48 casual applies to these roles.
