Manager - Aquatic Services
Permanent Full-time
It's an exciting time to be living and working in Invercargill.
You can enjoy a relaxed atmosphere and endless recreational activities that Invercargill has to offer with Central Otago, Fiordland and the Catlins on our doorstep. As New Zealand's southernmost city we proudly encourage a good work-life balance and with direct flights to Auckland, Christchurch, and Wellington the rest of the world is also within easy reach.
Our prosperous southern city is undergoing the biggest resurgence in its 166-year history. Invercargill's reputation for being family-friendly is well deserved, with affordable housing, great schools, and amazing facilities. There are a range of facility developments occurring across our city and the Splash Palace facility is also part of that mix.
In this exciting full-time role, you will lead the day to day operational management of the Council's aquatic facilities. You will also be on board to launch the new $3m Hydroslide facility, an addition that will see many more people from around the region come to Splash Palace. You will take the current operations to the next level through a focus on the customer and with our key partners from within the community.
To be successful in this dynamic environment will require a natural ability to connect with and grow people. You will be responsible for ensuring the overall management and development of the team so previous experience and understanding of leadership within aquatic recreation or public facility management are essential to building the relationships we need and to seek opportunities to grow the services we offer.
If you are looking for an opportunity to progress your career, where you will not only contribute to the improvement of our region but also make a real-life difference to the community, then apply today.
