What we are looking for:

We are searching for a energetic, practical and bright candidate looking to either commence their career in Plumbing or take on a new challenge commencing in 2020.

As an Apprentice Plumber you will have the opportunity to learn in a hands-on environment whilst completing your apprenticeship.  Employment is offered on a temporary basis for the duration of the apprenticeship (up to 4 years).

This position will undertake a range of field based activities combined with studies to acquire a trade qualification, with the objective of acquiring the skills and knowledge to provide quality water and sewerage services to Wide Bay Water and its customers.

The successful applicant will be motivated, have a drive to succeed with a positive can do attitude and enjoy problem solving.

What you should have to apply:

  • Outstanding work ethic
  • Awareness of Safety
  • Driven to succeed
  • Be willing and able to follow instructions, including complying with written procedures
  • Have an enthusiasm for working outdoors and undertake manual work
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and in unpleasant conditions
  • Possess good interpersonal skills in order to provide excellent customer service and work effectively as part of a team
  • Current Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B and Tetanus immunisations (or ability to readily acquire)
  • White Card
  • Queensland Class “C” drivers’ licence
