About the position:
This position provides engineering support across the Engineering Services branch with particular focus on capital works project design. This position will assist in delivering design solutions within the agreed programs and budget constraints and in compliance with all relevant state and federal regulations, City policies, procedures and relevant Australian standards.
Key accountabilities:
- Provide technical civil engineering support to the Engineering Services branch;
- Carry out detailed design & drafting of a variety of municipal capital works projects including (but not limited to); earthworks, roads, intersections, pavements, drainage and traffic management;
- Carry out site inspections and risk assessments;
- Provision of accurate technical design advice on new civil projects to relevant departments;
- Conduct engineering investigations and provide recommendations.

Position requirements:
The successful applicant will hold a degree in Civil Engineering, or other formal qualifications with significant experience in Civil Design, particularly in the design and drafting of roads, paths drains and other civil infrastructure works.
Completion of a pre-employment medical including alcohol and other substances testing is required of all positions at the City.
Remuneration and benefits
A salary starting from $74,739 per annum or $37.82 per hour will be offered dependent on knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications.
