Parks & Open Spaces Labourer - Chinchilla, Queensland

About the role

Based in Chinchilla, you will undertake a range of horticulture duties including the maintenance of Council's parks assets and the operation of horticultural plant and equipment. This is a fixed-term position until 30 June 2021.

Reporting to the Parks and Open Space Ganger, you will:

  • Undertake a range of horticultural duties including the operation of horticulture plant equipment including ride on mowers;
  • Demonstrate competence or experience in amenity horticulture; and
  • Possess good time management skills and the capability to complete allocated tasks while working within a team.

About you

The successful applicant will have:

  • a Certificate II in Horticulture or equivalent related experience
  • a Current C Class drivers licence
  • an OH&S Construction Safety White Card
  • demonstrated experience operating horticulture equipment
