Laboratory Technician MicrobiologyLaboratory Technician – Microbiology At Fraser Coast Regional Council our people are our most important asset and central to achieving our vision to Build Better Communities. What we are looking for: Demonstrated experience in a testing laboratory and knowledge of the requirements of sampling standards, preferably in the water and or wastewater industries, including microbiological analysis. Demonstrated experience in the use and application of Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). Experience in the calibration of laboratory equipment and knowledge of National Association of Testing Authorities, Australia (NATA). This position requires the person to have a good level of interpersonal and communication skills and an understanding of risk analysis and potential hazards associated with various sampling and lab testing scenarios. The successful applicant will also have the ability to manage time and prioritise tasks in a responsible manner and work in a team with minimum supervision.
