The salary range for this opportunity commences at $80,743 (Grade G, Step1) + 9.5% super.
The Roles:
We are currently seeking 2 new leaders to join our team at our Birrong and Canterbury Leisure & Aquatic Centres.
The Team Leader – Leisure & Aquatic Operations at Birrong and Canterbury are responsible for the efficient and effective operational management of the Leisure & Aquatic Operations teams at each centre. As the Team Leader, you are required to lead the Centre and team within your control and contribute to the provision of a safe and enjoyable experience for the community and staff, satisfactory financial performance and the achievement of set KPI's.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:
Qualifications: •Certificate III in Community Recreation or equivalent •Pool Lifeguard Licence & Certificate •Technical Operations Certificate (RLSSA, TAFE NSW or equivalent) •Senior First Aid & CPR Certificate •Current Class C Drivers Licence •Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
Experience:
•A minimum 2 years’ experience in managing a similar leisure & aquatic facility. •Experience in the planning and execution of operational, financial and people plans to successful outcomes. •Demonstrated people leadership ability, highly developed communication skills and experience in undertaking a risk management approach to aquatic facilities •Demonstrated experience in the marketing and promotion of Leisure and Aquatic facilities or similar. •Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation, aquatic industry guidelines and standards, especially regarding pool supervision, water quality and the safe handling and storage of chemicals.
