SENIOR BUILDING SURVEYOR – COOTAMUNDRA

Permanent Full Time

Applications are invited from interested persons for the above part time position of Senior Building Surveyor – Full Time, based at our Cootamundra Office.

This position is a technical advisory role to internal/external customers in development planning, building surveying and building compliance.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Assess and determine Development Applications and Part 4A Certificates for all classes of buildings appropriate to incumbent’s level of BPB Accreditation and delegations ensuring with the relevant statutory requirements, Council policies/procedures and complement the natural and built environment in the Cootamundra-Gundagai local government area.
2. Ensure relevant statutes, Council objectives and policies are satisfied and enforced when performing inspections and evaluating other matters associated with existing and proposed development.
3. Research, analyse and interpret relevant legislation, codes, policies, procedures and apply them in a practical context.
4. Ensure customer enquiries, building status enquiries and complaint management are handled professionally in a courteous and efficient manner at all times.
5. Maintain a current knowledge of building industry developments, practice and statutory responsibilities.

Benefits

• Full time Salary range of $1,622.72 – $1,898.58 gross per week
• 9.5% super guarantee levy payable by Council
• 9 day fortnight working arrangement
