The Role

The Town is seeking an experienced and qualified individual with extensive knowledge of records management to join our Team. This role will be responsible for the organisation’s record keeping plan, developing document management policies, training staff and leading the records management team.

The Town is undergoing a period of transformation and is looking for personnel to assist management in taking the organisation to the next level. The successful applicant will possess the skills to rise to the challenge of improving the Town’s record management system as well as implementing process improvement across the organisation. Our ideal candidate will be well organised, enjoy working in a team environment, have great problem solving, customer service and writing skills, as well as the ability to train individuals and groups.

Experience in scanning documents using multifunction photocopiers, registering documents into Electronic Document Management (EDM) systems and manual handling of physical files is essential.

Work Related Requirements

The preferred applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment to be considered for the role, as well as possess:

  • Bachelor degree in information and/or records management or related field
  • Proven ability to develop and manage organisation-wide record management solutions
  • National Police Clearance
  • Current ‘C’ class drivers licence
