 The Role

This position will play a vital role in effectively keeping the Town’s Parks and Open Spaces irrigated. The areas consist of 2 ovals, 17 neighbourhood parks and 4 sports grounds, as well as various community facilities, landscaped areas and entry statements. You will be working within the irrigation team operating both centrally controlled and standalone irrigation systems. Our ideal candidate comes with a strong background in the amenities/horticulture irrigation field, with previous experience working with reuse water being advantageous. The successful candidate will need to be able to work unsupervised, problem solve, be passionate about the industry, and thrive in a fast paced environment.

Work Related Requirements

The preferred applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment to be considered for the role, as well as possess:

  • Demonstrated experience or formal qualification in the design, installation and maintenance of commercial irrigation/park management systems
  • Current ‘C’ class drivers licence
  • White Card
