Customer Service Officer - Leisure Casual Pool

The Town of Port Hedland (Town) is currently seeking to create a pool of suitably experienced and motivated Customer Service Officers in order to deliver exceptional service delivery to the community of Port Hedland Leisure.

The Applicants will be selected from this pool to undertake one or a number of roles across Wanangkura Stadium, South Hedland Aquatic Centre and Gratwick Aquatic Centre.

What are the main duties?

The Customer Service Officer roles are responsible for acting as the first point of contact, responding appropriately by providing information and direction to the general public, receiving all cash, preparation and processing of receipts, ensure security of Council’s monies and assist the Facilities business unit in promoting, coordinating and conducting leisure services.

To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • A positive approach to life and show initiative in seeking out new challenges
  • Experience in a customer service role, dealing with difficult customers
  • Excellent customer service, written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Well developed conflict resolution and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and independently
  • Proven ability to work under pressure, use initiative and be well organised
  • High level word processing skills with experience using Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated experience in CRM systems desirable
