About the Opportunity

At PMHC every employee plays a part in ensuring we work together to achieve positive outcomes for our Community.  To help us achieve this you will need to be physically capable for the duties. You will use your excellent verbal and written communication skills to in dealing the public, and be capable at conflict resolution.


On a typical day our Ranger will: 

  • Be part of a small, dedicated team, but will work with a good deal of autonomy and self-reliance;
  • Undertake parking enforcement;
  • Handle dogs and livestock;
  • Investigate environmental matters such as illegal dumping, littering and pollution incidents;
  • Deal with abandoned vehicles and overgrown land;
  • Undertake proactive patrols of the Local Government Area;
  • Do a lot of walking

Remuneration

There are two full time roles, one permanent and one temporary (until March 2022)

Starting salary of $1152.90 per week plus 9.5% superannuation.  The role is 38 hours a week, on a 7-day rotating roster. An option for use of a tool of trade vehicle is available.

 

About Councils Compliance Team

Our Team consists of a Compliance Coordinator, Development Compliance Officer, Council Animal Staff and Council’s Rangers. Council’s Compliance Unit is responsible for enforcing appropriate legislation with regard to the built and natural environment, development, parking, companion animals and abandoned items. We achieve this through responding to customer complaints as well as undertaking proactive patrols.
