As the Facilities Operations Officer, you will be responsible for leading the onsite operations as well as focusing on the improvement of business processes and identification of revenue streams at the JD Hardie Youth and Community Hub. This position works closely with the Senior Youth Officer to ensure that a strong team culture at the Hub is maintained, and that excellent customer service is provided to internal and external stakeholders.

 

The ideal candidate would have proven leadership skills and a willingness to take the initiative and embrace out of the box ideas.  No two days will ever be the same in this position so the ability to multi-task and make decisions quickly is essential. You will be interfacing with everyone from member of the public and the internal team, to community organisation’s leaders and all sorts of other people. This is a role for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment and can always put the customer first. A penchant for clear, direct communication, a thick skin, and the ability to read people all have to be part of your skillset. Great personality and a sense of humour is a great attribute for this position.

Work Related Requirements:

The preferred applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment to be considered for the role, as well as possess:

  • First Aid Certificate
  • "C" Class Drivers Licence
  • Satisfactory National Police Clearance
  • Working with Children’s Check
