About the Opportunity

At PMHC every employee plays a part in ensuring we work together to achieve positive outcomes for our Community. To help us achieve this we require an experienced health and building team leader to facilitate the effective regulation of health, building and environmental matters across the LGA. The successful applicant will ideally have experience in health, building or environmental regulation and have strong proven leadership, communication and prioritisation skills.
 

On a typical day our Health and Building Regulation Coordinator will:

  • Develop, mentor, coach and empower staff to build a high -performance team culture Coordinate public health and food inspection programs and approvals
  • Oversee investigation and enforcement of pollution incidents
  • Assist the team to carry out functions such as Building certificates, caravan park approvals, fire safety and swimming pool compliance
  • Review and input into Development application referrals
  • Develop, review and implement policies and procedures
  • Report on the team’s activities

Remuneration

This is a full time, permanent role, with remuneration in the range of $85,571 - $90,775 per annum (depending on skills and experience), plus 9.5% superannuation. The role is 35 hours a week, with access to Council’s Flexible Working Hours policy.

A vehicle option is available to the successful candidate.
