Set in the stunning backdrop of the Yarra Ranges, our Design and Place department are currently looking for an Executive Officer Strategic Planning to join their team providing services to develop industry leading municpal and place-based strategies, implement a diverse range of Planning Scheme Amendments and policy, and champion progressive planning outcomes.  This is an exciting opportunity to grow your professional profile through projects that preserve and enrich a remarkably diverse range of planning contexts with complex and unique opprtunities to make a difference.

  • Salary from $113,061 per annum (Band 8), plus superannuation
  • Permanent Full Time (flexible/part-time options considered)
  • Full Private Use Vehicle

What you’ll bring to our team

  • Qualifications in Planning, Land Use Planning, Urban Planning or related discipline, and strong experience in the delivery of related programmes of work.
  • Experience in ATS and GIS systems, and sound understanding of Local Government
  • Skills in working with consultants, leading a team and engaging with internal stakeholders, government and industry bodies and our community.

  • Australian licence in line with Council's Fleet Policy and Vic Road Regulations
