Three (3) Plant Operators/Labourers

(Level 4A of Municipal Employees (Western Australia) interim Award 2011 and EBA - $28.75 per hour)

The Shire of Victoria Plains currently has three vacancies, for two Plant Operators/Labourers in the Construction and Maintenance Team and one Plant Operator/Labourer in the Towns, Parks, Drainage and Bridges Team.  These positions will be based in Calingiri, which is situated 153 kms north-east of Perth.

These three positions attract generous superannuation benefits, and wages at Level 4A of the Municipal Employees’ (Western Australia) Interim Award 2011 and the Shire’s Enterprise Agreement, being $28.75 per hour.  You will be working a nine-day fortnight based on a 40-hour week.

Experience required is as follows:

• experience in road construction/maintenance or earthmoving environment, including an understanding of materials and operation of equipment used for road construction and maintenance works
•  *Experience in the maintenance of Townsites, Parks, Drainage and Bridges
• experience in construction/maintenance works programming
• understand Occupational Health and Safety Regulations to ensure the safe operation of plant and equipment associated with construction activities, and
• Local Government experience is highly desirable.
