Rural City of Wangaratta has an opportunity to join our dedicated team of Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Nurses. Located in North East Victoria and encompassing the King Valley wine region we provides a supportive workplace with an opportunity to have a real impact within the community. We are seeking someone who has a passion for working with young children and families and would like to live in a regional centre. The MCH team provides a professional service within the Enhanced and Universal programs in various locations across the municipality.
The successful applicant requires: An understanding of the Victorian MCH Framework and Program Standards; Strong assessment and referral skills; an understanding of the Maternal and Child Health Software package CDIS; registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia as both a registered nurse and a registered midwife and to also hold recognised qualifications in MCH Nursing; driver's licence and Working with Children Check.
