Base Salary Range $100495 to $107686 plus super

1 x Temporary Full time Position (12 months with option to extend)


Council is seeking a suitably qualified applicant to fill the temporary full-time role of Building Surveyor A2-A1.

Reporting directly to the Manager City Development and Planning, this position will undertake delegated regulatory functions and duties associated with buildingsm(all classes under the Building Code of Australia), swimming pools and fire safety assessment
and inspections; to ensure prompt, accurate and cost effective delivery of planning,development and compliance services.

This position is required to work towards meeting service standards and under regulated timeframes that will lead to positive outcomes for our community.

In the carrying out of your duties and activities you will ensure prompt, accurate and cost-effective delivery of compliance services and efficient implementation of legislative compliance.

A key component of the position will be to enhance Council’s public image through responsive and effective liaison and communication with the community, businesses and other stakeholders.

We are seeking an employee that has experience working in small and large teams and has an excellent customer service understanding. The successful candidate will have proven ability to communicate well with others, have high level Microsoft Office skills and take a proactive approach to their work.
