About the position:
Part of the Greater Geraldton region, Mullewa is a town located 98 kilometres east-northeast of Geraldton. Agriculture is Mullewa’s largest industry with wheat, wool, beef and lamb as its main products. Mullewa is well known for an abundance of wildflowers in spring and it is one of the few places in the world that the wreath flower grows. The Maintenance Grader Operator undertakes operational activities associated with the provision of road construction and maintenance services to the Mullewa District.
Key accountabilities:
- Complete maintenance grading of unsealed roads;
- Construct and maintain unsealed roads and shoulders within the City’s network;
- General operation of plant, maintenance and/or labour duties as required;
- Operate and maintain plant, hand tools and specialised road maintenance equipment in a competent manner including graders, rollers, loader, trucks and other machinery as required;
- Ensure that all work undertaken is to a high standard and within budget and agreed timeframes.

Position requirements:
The successful applicant will hold a HC licence, and have experience in maintenance grading as well as operating other plant and machinery associated with road construction and maintenance such as rollers, loaders and trucks.
This position is located in Mullewa.
Completion of a pre-employment medical including alcohol and other substances testing is required of all positions at the City.
Remuneration and benefits
A salary starting from $63,792 per annum or $32.28 per hour will be offered dependent on knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications.
