The Role
Working as a key member of the Morris Iemma Team, you would be required to deliver quality customer service to the users of the Centre in a professional and courteous manner and to complete administrative duties as required. You would also assist with the supervision and control of a safe and enjoyable environment of the Centre in accordance with Council’s policies, the requirements of the public and industry standards.
This opportunity will be offered on a casual basis.
The hourly rate for this opportunity commences at $28.98 per hour (Grade B, Step1) + 25 % casual loading + 9.5% super
Your duties in this role will include:
- Ensure a positive customer experience through a high level of public relations and customer service to all users, including handling customer complaints and feedback.
- Assist with the set up and pack down for programs and sporting activities
- Perform cashier duties including the use of the POS system, reporting and balancing.
- Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, safety and security within the Centre surrounds.
- Assist with Centre programs and activities when required, which includes pre-school and school aged programs.
- Perform first aid procedures as required.
- Carry out general functions in relation to reception, Kiosk and merchandise shop areas such as food preparation and cleaning.
Essential Criteria:
- Must be available for a broad range of shifts, including evenings during the week and on weekends.
- Face to face customer service experience
- Experience in an indoor recreation facility or recreation industry (highly regarded but not essential)
- Experience in building customer relationships.
- Intermediate Computer literacy skills.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.
- First Aid certificate
- A current valid Working With Children’s Check
