Customer Service Officer Aquatics

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the team at the Birrong Leisure and Aquatic Centre as a Customer Service Officer.

This is a full time role contracted up until July 2021. You would be required to work a 38 hour week on a rotating roster between Monday-Friday.

The primary purpose of the role is to deliver quality customer service to the users of the City of Canterbury-Bankstown’s Aquatic & Leisure Centres in a professional and courteous manner.

The starting salary for this role is $53,516 (Grade B, Step 1) p/a plus 9.5% Super.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

•Provide a high standard of customer service at all times to deliver an excellent customer experience, including positive promotion of the Centres, effective complaints handling and conflict resolution
•Provide relevant information about our services, operating hours, fitness programs, memberships, group hire bookings, swim lane usage and pool availability
•Responsible for any bookings of the pool area
•Responsible for answering and directing phone calls to the correct department/service as required
•Ensure follow up and completion of all customer enquiries and tasks in line with our Corporate Values
•Ensure the foyer, reception, fitness and kiosk areas are maintained to a high level of cleanliness and hygiene
•Serve snacks and refreshments in the kiosk and identify efficiencies in the daily kiosk operation.
•Manage various stock levels including stock ordering, accepting orders/deliveries and conducting stocktakes for the kiosk and swim accessories & merchandise supply and sales.

Essential Criteria:

•Certificate III in Fitness
•Registration with Fitness Australia
•First Aid
•CPR
•Working with Children’s Check
•Experience in a customer service role in face to face environment
•Experience in an indoor recreation facility or recreation industry
•Experience in managing customer relationships.
•Computer literacy skills.
