Vegetation Management Officer



In this varied position, you will be responsible for delivering programs and projects that maintain and enhance effective management of the natural and landscaped environment of the City of Greater Bendigo. You will provide supervision of the contracts for the delivery of vegetation management works, across the City’s land asset responsibilities, ensuring service level standards are met.


You will also facilitate, monitor and review the implementation of on ground works, to improve the management of invasive plants and animals, together with vegetation management focusing on fire prevention and fire risk management activities.


Your knowledge of the identification and management of pest plant and animals, knowledge in indigenous plants and an understanding of the native vegetation removal regulations, fire prevention and parks maintenance activities will be highly regarded. You will also have experience and understanding in contract management.


If you hold formal qualifications in land management, conservation or park management and hold a current driver’s licence, we welcome your application.
