Our dynamic and passionate Communications team are looking for a motivated and talented graduate to join the team as a Graduate Communications Officer. You will provide specialised communication support to internal customers, with a focus on the development and management of communications plans and briefs that promote the delivery of services, projects and initiatives.

Your duties in this role will include:
• Support internal customers to understand and assist with communications needs • Develop communications briefs, plans and strategies for internal customers • Develop messaging and content for initiatives, programs, services and events • Edit and proof a range of documents, from letters to publications • Provide photography support to internal customers • Support the unit with research and responses for media and community enquiries • Seek content for digital platforms such as CBTV • Maintain and analyse data and reporting for the unit and internal customers • Work collaboratively across Communications Unit to respond to the needs of the internal customers • Contribute to the yearly proactive communications program, in collaboration with the unit and organisations' strategic priorities • Develop and maintain proactive relationships with internal customers • Other duties as required by Team Leader, Client Services and Manager, Communications
To be considered for the role you will need to possess the following:
• Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or Journalism • Well developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills • Well developed time management skills • Ability to work as an effective team member • Ability to meet strict deadlines • Adaptability and flexibility to accommodate change and provide responsive services to meet the changing needs of customers, the unit and Council
