The Eurobodalla Shire Council has set itself an exciting and evidence-based strategic direction to grow its economy and drive recovery post the devastating fire season. An exciting part of this economic growth agenda is activation of our town centres by identifying key investment opportunities and renewing retail and visitor precincts.

The newly formed role of Manager Economic Development and Place Activation is responsible for delivering an industry focused service area and will be accountable for the successful management and delivery of key strategies, projects and programs across strategic and front-line functions, including:

• Economic Development and Business Engagement
• Place Management and Activation

We are looking for someone who has a strong background in economic development and investment attraction who understands how to build business resilience, and realise the potential for place activation to fill empty shops, drive people to town centres, and create a night economy.

 The Eurobodalla Shire is emerging from the series of events that have profoundly impacted its businesses and local economy. This role will excite a strong economic development professional who can build strong relationships across all sectors and who wishes to contribute to the transformation and growth of a Shire with a strong vision.

Total remuneration for the role is in the range $99,764.99 to $114,016.41 gross per annum consisting of:

•      $91,109.58 to $104,124.58 base salary,
•      $8,655.41 to $9,891.83 superannuation (at 9.5%)

A fully maintained leaseback vehicle including private use is available for this position.
