A rewarding opportunity has presented itself for a dedicated and driven individual to join our Information Services unit as a Business Intelligence Officer.
In this role you will support the Information services unit by developing, maintaining and integrating various business systems within our organisation
This opportunity will be offered on a permanent full time basis.
The salary range for this opportunity commences at $90,132 (Grade H, Step1) + 9.5% super
Your duties in this role will include:
- Participate in business analysis activities to gather stakeholder reporting and dashboard requirements
- Translate business requirements into technical requirements to implement reports and dashboards created from multiple data sources
- Build reports, dashboards and visualizations using Business Intelligence tools
- Collaborate with Business Systems Analysts to design, develop and maintain ongoing metrics, reports, analyses and dashboards to drive key business decisions
- Provide advice and guidance to staff and others using the data structures and associated components.
- Develop reports and dashboards in collaboration with stakeholders in operations along with writing documentation
- Provide insights across different topics within operational performance and present to stakeholders
- Initiate and improve processes to increase efficiencies and data quality

You will have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications, preferably in an IT discipline, or equivalent extensive experience.
- Minimum 2+ years hands on experience using Reporting tools such as Crystal, Jasper, Data tools or equivalent.
- Proven Data Analysis experience
- SQL Programming
- Customer-focused service attitude
- Development experience in Data Mart and dashboards.
- Strong dimensional modelling skills with attention to determining and applying level of detail, aggregation, summarisation, etc. with consideration for optimal performance.
- Demonstrated knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Serve
- Self-initiative and attention to detail.
- Demonstrates excellent communication/interpersonal skills with a consultative acumen
- Demonstrated experience in a BI role
- Excellent analytical skills with large data sets
