What we are looking for:

Do you have a passion for working with children and young adults?  Do you want to use your experience to assist with the children and youth activities at Fraser Coast Libraries, including holiday activities and early literacy programs?

The successful applicant will have highly developed communication skills, with the ability to relate well to all age groups. We are looking for a confident team player who can demonstrate knowledge of contemporary library programs and services and experience working with early childhood children (birth to 5 years) and youth. 

The role will see you assist in the provision of circulation services and branch activity to ensure that the overall objectives within the Fraser Coast Libraries are met. The position is also responsible for assisting in the organisation, direction and promotion of Children and Youth Services and basic cataloguing.

What you should have to apply:

  • Current Working with Children Card (Blue Card)
  • Experience in early childhood (birth to 5 years) and/or primary school settings
  • Queensland Class “C” drivers’ licence

What’s nice to have:

  • Demonstrated current experience in a public library environment
  • Experience in community engagement and partnership building
