The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a forward-thinking and innovative leader who will provide effective leadership and management to our Corporate Transformation Unit.

Reporting directly to the General Manager Operations, you will provide direction, oversight and leadership across the Corporate Transformation Unit in order to drive and deliver on Council’s Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and organisational strategy.

Your key focus will be to set and lead the operational strategy for the Unit and the successful delivery of ICT programs and services with the best interests of the organisation and community as the key driver. You will also work collaboratively with Council’s Senior Leadership Team to lead and build a culture which reflects our organisation’s values and supporting behaviours.

 

About You

We are seeking to recruit a passionate and experienced leader. To succeed in this position, you will possess:

  • Tertiary qualification in relevant field or extensive management experience;
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in leading and implementing organisational-wide ICT strategy;
  • Experience in planning, leading and delivering high-quality teams, projects and programs in alignment with an organisational strategy;
  • Effective judgement and decision-making skills for complex and politically sensitive matters combined with the willingness to focus on issues and achieve positive resolutions in a collaborative manner;
  • Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively communicate, negotiate, influence and motivate others;
  • Combination of technical expertise, political, social, legal, economic and financial acumen; and
  • Demonstrated and proven commitment to continuous improvement to lead team in achievement of key deliverables.
