About us:
Port Hedland is a growing town of around 15,000 people situated in Western Australia’s beautiful Pilbara region and employs 270 staff from diverse cultural backgrounds. Located approximately 1,800km north of Perth, 600km south of Broome and 2,400 west of Darwin it sits on a beautiful and rugged coastline and covers 11,844 square kilometres of the Pilbara region. Its role is well established on both the national and international stage, attracting prominent resource companies and contributing at a nationally recognised level to the broader Australian economy. About you:
- Keen to be part of the major transformation of one of Australia’s iconic resources hubs.
- Experienced in the planning and coordination of works and resources to deliver on-time project works to the highest of safety standards.
- Good knowledge of statutory regulations, Australian standards and WHS principles
- An excellent communicator with the ability to foster strong internal and external relationships.
- Able to contribute to the accurate design/scope/ administration of the project including documentation review, contractor management, feasibility studies and regular reporting.
- Degree qualified in a Civil Engineering with demonstrated experience in project delivery.
About the role:
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager the Project Engineer will be responsible for the delivery of the Town’s capital works program through a combination of wet hire and contract services. This position will ensure that all projects are delivered according to design, within the agreed scope, quality and budget constraints while adhering to the highest safety standards at all times. A competitive package will be offered to the successful candidate for a fixed term contract of three years and will include assistance with relocation if required.
