Senior Local Laws Officer
We currently have a great opportunity for a dedicated Senior Local Laws Officer to join our Safe and Healthy Environments team to coordinate the delivery of Local Laws and Animal Services ensuring all responsibilities are carried out in accordance with the relevant legislation.
To succeed in this role you must have the ability to build relationships with members of the community by providing guidance, support, education and advice. You will be able to utilise problem solving, relationship building and conflict resolution within the legal framework. This will include implementing and administering policies, Domestic Animal Management Plan, and State Legislation relating to domestic animals, livestock management and Local Laws.
The successful applicant will have excellent communication and negotiation skills with an ability to deal with difficult customers. You will have excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise workloads, meet deadlines and work under pressure with competing demands.
A satisfactory pre-employment medical, police record check and Working with Children check is required to undertake this role.
