The positions provide backup and support to the Birdsville Tourist Park and Birdsville Lodge Managers and work with other team members to ensure the facilities are operated in accordance with the Shire’s policies and procedures. This is a ‘hands-on’ role, with the Assistant Managers expected to work in all areas of the facilities operations including (but not limited to) cleaning, laundry, maintenance, front office and general customer service. They will also be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the facilities, at times when the Managers are on days off/leave. These are Maximum Term Full Time positions ceasing at the end of October 2020, with the potential to extend to the following peak visitation season (March – October 2021) for the right candidates. You will be working a 10 days on and 4 days off roster. A competitive remuneration package is offered ($62,873 to $67,033 depending on allowances, per person), including above award wages and 6 weeks’ annual leave. You will be required to live on site at the Birdsville Tourist Park and we will offer you a free powered site with water. You just need to provide your own caravan/RV.
