Neighbourhood Centre Officer

A fantastic opportunity exists for a suitably qualified Neighbourhood Centre Officer, to join our dynamic Community Lifestyle team. This position is temporary until March 2021 and is based out of our Sarina office.

 

About the Role:

The Sarina Neighbourhood Centre Officer will respond to identified and emergent needs of the local community with a priority on vulnerable individuals, families and populations. 

 

Key responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to:

  • Provide Neighbourhood Centre based services, for members of the Sarina community. 
  • Integrate with the broader human service system and actively promote community engagement and connectedness. 
  • Facilitate the delivery of programs that are flexible and culturally inclusive, providing a range of community and centre-based activities that build skills, provide knowledge, promote personal and social development, promote physical wellbeing, and create and sustain local networks.
  • Manage the distribution of Emergency Relief Funds for the Sarina District as appropriate.
  • Actively participate in human service networks and support network development.
