Bendigo Art Gallery is one of Australia’s oldest and largest art galleries with a significant collection and international reputation. Located in Central Victoria 1hr45mins from Melbourne, the Gallery is a premier destination for its program of international and Australian exhibitions of art, fashion and design. The Bendigo Art Gallery has community and state support with a focus on supporting First Nations culture, lifelong learning and contemporary Australian art and design. The Gallery’s strategic focus is to broaden its international engagement and to position the Bendigo Art Gallery as a major Australian gallery.


Bendigo Art Gallery is seeking an arts professional to lead the Gallery curatorial team. Working with the Director you will provide strategic and creative direction for the Gallery, its exhibitions and collection development. You will be a key member of a vibrant and creative management team and enhance the reach of Bendigo Art Gallery through the delivery of exhibitions and involvement in programming. Your leadership will bring out the best in your small and dynamic team and colleagues who are passionate about the arts and positioning the Bendigo Art Gallery as a leading cultural institution.
