It's an exciting time to be in Invercargill and a privilege to work in this region.


With around 1000 visitors coming through the door each day Splash Palace is a busy place! We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused individual to join our already fun, vibrant and dynamic team!


At Splash Palace we pride ourselves on creating a fun and safe environment for all of our customers. As a Senor Lifeguard, you will work with the Supervisor to support our Lifeguards, ensuring the safe and enjoyable experience of our pool users.


You must be a competent swimmer and are able to maintain high standards of lifesaving techniques. Your high level of attention to detail is essential so that you never miss a beat. Stepping in to assist the Supervisor, you will have the ability to ensure the safe and efficient running of the aquatic centre while guiding, supporting our Lifeguards.


You will have a current First Aid Certificate and National Lifeguard Award (Level 3) or the ability to obtain these within two weeks of commencing work.


You must be willing to work to a roster which will include split shifts, evenings, weekends and public holidays. We currently have one permanent full-time position available, working 80 hours per fortnight on a roster, Monday to Sunday both days inclusive.

As a component of this role involves interaction with one or more of the above groups, as part of the assessment of candidates, we will require Police Vetting as per the Children's Act 2014 and a Pre-employment Alcohol and Drug Screening test to ensure we are providing a safe environment for our customers and members of the public.
