To help us achieve this, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Land Use Planner to join the Land Use Planning Team. Working as part of a small team within our Development & Environment Division, the successful applicant will prepare, review and manage Council’s planning instruments, including planning proposals, local environmental plans, development control plans and policies. The position will also provide input to Strategic Planning projects to support planning outcomes as identified in Council’s Community Strategic Plan and the Land Use Planning work program. To be successful in this role you shall possess appropriate tertiary qualifications and significant experience in Local Government strategic land use planning, a sound working knowledge of NSW planning legislation, regulations and policies, a commitment to quality customer service and demonstrated ability to think strategically. This is temporary 12-month maternity relief position, with remuneration in the range $85,572.82 - $96,365.26 per annum (depending on skills and experience) plus superannuation. The role is 35 hours a week, with access to Council’s Flexible Working Hours policy.
