Community Relations Officer (Youth), Isaac Region
The Planning, Environment and Community Service’s (PECS) Engaged Communities Department is currently seeking an enthusiastic people-person to join their fast-paced team in the role of fixed term part time Community Relations Officer (Youth), based in the Isaac Region. This short-term contract is expected to cease Friday 4 October 2020. Reporting to the Manager Community Engagement, Programs and Events, this position is responsible for the development of resilient communities by identifying the needs of residents and developing and implementing relevant programs and strategies to meet these needs. Its intended to foster positive relationships between Council, schools, the wider local community and the youth population (age 0-17) and deliver targeted programs which support this age group. Working with the Manager Engaged Communities and Manager Community Engagement Programs and Events, this position will be required to identify and work towards implementing interim and longer-term sustainable solutions for the Dysart Your Centre and the Moranbah Youth and Community Centre.
