An exciting opportunity exists for a dynamic, motivated and performance focused individual to join Warrnambool City Council’s Management Team in the role of Manager Governance, Property, Projects and Legal.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and acting as the main source of contact to elected Councillors, this multi-faceted role is pivotal in leading and providing expertise in matters of Governance, Property Management, coordinating legal advice and undertaking a variety of strategic projects. This position will ensure the ongoing development and management of appropriate governance and legal frameworks linking Council’s statutory requirements, corporate policies and procedures to ensure accountability and transparency, legislative compliance and alignment with the Council Plan.
It is expected that applicants will be tertiary qualified and have significant experience at a senior management level in one or all of the following functions: governance, legal matters, properties and/or projects. Strong leadership skills with a passion for progress and innovation, an ability to drive and deliver change management strategies, and proven experience in consultation, investigative and advisory matters will be highly considered.
