Concrete Maintenance Worker



About the position:

The position of Concrete Maintenance Worker is part of the Urban Roads team within the City’s Maintenance Operations department and is responsible for the provision of footpath maintenance services to the City of Greater Geraldton.

Key accountabilities:

  • Repair and maintain the City’s network of footpaths using techniques including concrete formwork, finishing and brick paving.
  • General operation of plant and hand tools, carry out maintenance and/or labour duties as required.
  • Operate plant and specialised concreting equipment in a competent and safe manner including skid steer, loader and other machinery as required.

This position works a 9 day fortnight with every second Friday as a rostered day off.

Position requirements:

The successful applicant will hold a current MR class driver’s licence and have demonstrated experience in the techniques associated with the maintenance and repair of concrete pathways, kerbing and other structures.

Completion of a pre-employment medical including alcohol and other substances testing is required of all positions at the City.

Remuneration and benefits:

A salary starting from $57,419 per annum or $29.05 per hour will be offered dependent on knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications.
