With around 1000 visitors coming through the door each day Splash Palace is a busy place! We are looking for two enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our already fun, vibrant and dynamic team!
Our reception staff are often the first point of contact and the last too. They don't just answer calls; they greet our visitors, handle retail sales and deal with other queries wherever they are able to and have a wide knowledge of Splash Palace and how we operate. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent front line customer service by telephone and in person, and process all cash and sales transactions at our front counter.
You must be willing to work a roster which will include evenings, weekends and public holidays. We currently have two permanent part-time roles available: one role approximately 18 hours per week on the weekend, and the other approximately 25 hours per week on weekdays and weekends. Extra shifts are often available, and our ideal candidates would be available to pick these up.
The successful candidates will ideally have a customer service or retail background but it's your flair in dealing with people that is the thing that will stand out. You will demonstrate a "can do" attitude, and a willingness to pitch in and assist the team to get the job done!
At Invercargill City Council we pride ourselves on our values - positivity, respect, responsibility and above and beyond. Finding the right fit for our team is really important to us and we work hard to provide an environment reflective of these values.
The Invercargill City Council is committed to the wellbeing and protection of children, the elderly and vulnerable adults. As a component of this role involves interaction with one or more of the above groups, as part of the assessment of candidates, we will require Police Vetting as per the Children's Act 2014 and a Pre-employment Alcohol and Drug Screening test to ensure we are providing a safe environment for our customers and members of the public.
