This position, as a member of the Infrastructure Planning team, is responsible for contributing to the asset management of Council’s roads, drainage and coastal infrastructure assets.  In this role you will inspect, assess and use information management systems to report on the safety status and condition of Council’s roads, drainage and coastal infrastructure assets, and assist in project selection and scoping to inform Council’s Maintenance and Capital Renewal Programs. You will also ensure projects are aligned with Council’s Asset Management Plans, Risk Policy and corporate prioritisation framework.

What you should have to apply:

  • Qualification (AQF Level 4) in engineering, asset management or similar discipline and/or significant practical experience in a similar position.
  • Experience in undertaking asset safety and condition assessments on roads, drainage and/or coastal infrastructure, utilising risk management principles and/or agreed business rules
  • Experience in analysing asset inspection data, project selection, preparation of project scopes, cost estimates, and technical supporting documentation
  • The ability to develop programs for asset-based or location-based inspections and routine/programmed maintenance
  • Ability to input and retrieve asset data from within corporate asset management systems.
  • Queensland Class “C” drivers’ licence
