Role Purpose The role is responsible for performing all designated tasks in a professional manner and to assist in the achievement of all social and organisational goals of the Centre. The role is also responsible for assisting in the safe operation of the Crèche and its programs in accordance with Centre policy and legislative requirements.
Key Responsibilities • Maintain a high level of supervision and customer service at all times • Supervise children in the Crèche ensuring maximum safety and enjoyment. At no time is the Crèche to be left unsupervised while in operation • Be bright, cheerful and encouraging when caring for children • Foster sound relations with children and parents • Ensure that parents sign the register and note where they can be found within the Centre • Ensure all equipment and toys are set up for the day and that toys are in safe working order • Store all toys in the appropriate storage areas at completion of shift • Maintain the safety and well-being of all children at all times • Assist in maintaining the Crèche in a clean and safe condition • Complete incident/injury report forms and keep on file • Reconcile the day register with the number of receipts collected • Maintain the highest level of hygiene and cleanliness, ensuring the Crèche provides the safest and most appealing environment possible.
