Our facilities are reopening to the Hedland community, which means our teams need to grow. The Town of Port Hedland (Town) is seeking to create a pool of suitably experienced and motivated individuals to fill a number of vacancies across the Town’s facilities.  

This pool recruitment process will remain active for a period of six months. Applicants will be selected from this pool to undertake one or a number of roles across Wanangkura Stadium, the pools, the JD Hardie Youth Zone and the Matt Dann Theatre and Cinema which are now recruiting.

What are the main duties?

These roles contribute to the effective and efficient operation of the relevant facilities by offering?undertaking a broad range of customer service duties and providing support which may include:

  • Opening and closing the building and alarming the facility
  • Opening the bathrooms and ensuring they are stocked throughout the day
  • Providing assistance to customers
  • using the ‘Links’ software system for the sale of drinks and snacks
  • Packing away equipment and leaving the facility clean and tidy
  • Delivering programs to children and youth across the Town’s facilities and parks
